Growing up with VP was recorded at Gay Towers between January and April 2003 with Tim Browne, longstanding musical collaborator and occasional producer of previous VP releases (Suicide Dad). Tim’s sublime musical touches and pro tool malevolence have given this record an ambiguity and style all of it's own.Guest musicians include the infamous Peter (salute the parrot yet again) Kenrick on pedal steel, John Owens on recorder and flute, Leah Wilkes (aka baby peculiar) sang backing vocals, Craig Sinclair from the eponymous Widnes outfit Lovecraft played toy box percussion and sang a little too....

PS does anyone know anything about Bas Ader [pictured at the top of this page] and inspiration behind the song 'I'm too sad to tell you?' ...if so let me know please do, all my searches have ended in vain.
